The Gospel of Light is an Honors Project is for the Bachelors in Fine Arts at Seattle University.  The project includes four books for each Sunday of the Advent season.  Each book contains three gospels, one for each of the liturgical cycles.  The Gospels are hand lettered and illuminated.  For the creation of this project, I fashioned pigments from particular clays that I acquired from various counties around the world, such as Japan, Germany, Brazil, Colombia, Congo, England, Iraq, Pakistan, Mexico, etc. Therefore, the books not only incorporated a colorful earthen mosaic in its illustrations, but also languages and religious symbols from various cultures. Over a thousand hours of work and design were invested in this project during the academic year of 2004 to 2005
